A man in a loose vest and shorts hugging his muscular body was aggressively punching the punching bag. Sweat dripped from his forehead, trailing down his neck and disappearing into his vest. His eyes burned with fury, making him look devilishly dangerous.
He was none other than Arvith.
A few minutes later, his two mischievous yet mature brothers, Veer and Abhi, stepped into the gym for their workout. Their expressions changed instantly when they spotted Arvith punching the bag furiously.
Concerned, they rushed toward him.
Veer immediately stepped between Arvith and the punching bag, gripping his brother's injured hand to check the wound.
"Bhai, what are you doing? Are you out of your mind? Have you lost it? Look at your hand-it's bleeding. Come here, let me treat it," Veer said worriedly.
But Arvith freed his hand and continued punching. With a sigh, Veer stood beside him and again forcefully held his hand, trying to stop him.
Arvith didn't answer a single question. He jerked his hand away and walked toward the window, where the city looked immensely beautiful. Running his hand through his hair repeatedly, his distress was evident.
"What happened to our shipment? Do you guys even have any idea? That bastard stole our material in the middle of transit," Arvith said through clenched teeth.
But Abhi smirked.
"Bhai, don't worry. I'll personally take care of it. You'll get a new toy to play with, won't you?"
Hearing this, Arvith's eyes darkened. A faint smirk appeared on the corner of his lips. Whoever had dared to cross him was going to pay-dearly.
"Uss saale ne mujhse panga lekar bahut badi galti ki hai... Shayad jaanta nahi hai main kaun hoon. Khel usne shuru kiya hai, par is khel ka raja main hoon-and end bhi main hi karunga. Bahut maza aane wala hai," Arvith said dangerously.
"Haan bhai... Bechare ko nahi pata aap kaun ho. Jab usey pata chalega ki aap hi Black Reaper ho, tab tak uski aakhri saansein chal rahi hongi," Abhi replied with a smirk.
The trio laughed darkly. They knew that anyone who crossed their path would be dragged into hell-a hell personally designed by Arvith, where mercy didn't exist.
Later, the entire family gathered in the dining hall for breakfast, waiting for their elder son.
Soon, Arvith arrived and respectfully touched the elders' feet, following the Hindu tradition.
After breakfast, he headed toward his Rolls Royce. The driver bowed respectfully and opened the door. Arvith merely nodded before sitting inside.
Behind his car, three black vehicles filled with armed bodyguards followed closely. With countless enemies eyeing him, protection was a necessity.
At ALR company, Arvith stepped out of his car and entered the lobby. As always, employees bowed their heads-out of fear and respect. His presence screamed authority, dominance, power, and luxury.

(ALR company)

(Arvith office)
He instructed his PA, Aman, to line up the day's meetings and walked straight into his office.
While working on his laptop, his phone suddenly rang. The moment he heard the voice on the other end, his grip tightened, knuckles turning white, jaw clenched in rage.
Before he smatch his phone, the office door burst open. His two best friends, Ayaan and Ekansh, entered and casually settled on the couch. Seeing Arvith's clenched jaw, they exchanged a glance.
Ayaan: "What happened, bro? Why are you so furious?"
Ekansh: "Arre, this is normal. He's always a grumpy old man, right?" π
"SHUT UP, YOU FOOL!" Arvith roared.
"Aree bhai, sach hi toh bola... ab sach bardasht nahi hota toh hum kya karein," Ekansh said dramatically, clutching his chest.
Ayaan chuckled but quickly straightened when he realized Arvith wasn't in the mood.
"Okay," Ayaan said seriously. "Speak."
With a tired sigh, Arvith rubbed his face.
"Our Italian shipment was stolen. Shukla sold one-fourth of it to our enemy. Forty million lost."
Ayaan and Ekansh stood up in shock.
"What the hell are you saying?" Ekansh exclaimed.
"I thought I'd handle everything-but this is the first time someone dared to mess with me," Arvith growled, punching the table.
Calling Aman, he ordered,
"I want Shukla in our dungeon within 24 hours."
Aman nodded and left.
"And the money?" Ekansh asked.
"Don't worry. It's in my hands. Anyone who double-crosses me will pay-and not only he but the world will know the consequences," Arvith said coldly.
"You two secure the remaining shipments."
They nodded and left.
On other side
A girl dressed in a white Anarkali suit, ghungroos tied around her ankles, danced gracefully. Her hair flowed with every movement, yet her lips held a painful smile as she lip-synced the song-each lyric piercing her soul.
Mujhe yunhi karke khwaabon se juda
Jaane kahan chup ke baitha hai khuda
Janni na main kab hua khud se
gumshuda
kaise jiyun rooh bhi mujhse hai judaa
Kyun meri raahein ,
mujhse pooche ghar kahan hai
Kyun mujhse aake,
dastak pooche dar kahan hai
Raahein aisi jinki manzil hi nahin
Dhoondhe mujhe ab main rehta hoon wahin
Dil hai kahin aur dhadkan hai kahin
Saansein hai magar kyun zinda main nahin
Suddenly, her ankle twisted. She fell to the floor.
A soft sob escaped her lips-and then the dam broke. She started crying uncontrollably.
Her best friend, Maahi, rushed toward her and wrapped her in a tight hug, gently stroking her hair. A tear slipped down Maahi's cheek as well, seeing her soul sister shatter like this.
"Shhh... bas bas," Maahi said softly.
"Why m...me, m...Maahi?" Arika said with hiccups, gazing at Maahi with her tear-filled eyes. Seeing Arika's condition, Maahi's eyes softened.
Maahi slowly yet gently helped her stand on her feet, took her from the hall to her room, and made her sit on the bed. She handed her some water as they were in Maahi's apartment. After sipping a few drops, Arika finally calmed down.
"W...wh...why me, Maahi? Why do they hate me so much? What wrong have I done to them? I am their daughter, but they never consider me as their own. I love them, Maahi... they are my parents. Am I that bad a daughter to them? No one loves me," Arika said, wiping her tears with the back of her hand.
"Don't cry, Aruu. I'm here na, with you. I love you, baby. And listen to me carefully-you are the best daughter, sister, and friend. If they are unable to see that they have a diamond, then it's their fault, not yours.
Sometimes people, in search of gold, lose a diamond-and you are that precious diamond, meri jaan. You have me and Abhay bhai, Aruu.
You are our diamond. Whenever you need me, I'll always be there for you, standing by your side. You don't have to feel like this, okay?" Maahi said softly, gently wiping Arika's tears with her thumb.
Arika smiled genuinely, seeing the concern, care, and love her soul sister had for her.
"Thank you... for always standing with me," Arika said with a small smile, adoring Maahi.
"Huhh... you're saying thank you for this? Really-for this?" Maahi said dramatically, slapping her forehead.
"Hey Bhagwan, main kya karoon is ladki ka? Jab bhi kuch karti hoon, iska thank-you-sorry Ramayan shuru ho jaata hai."
Arika giggled, watching her.
"But I'm angry with you," Maahi said, making a pout.
"But why?" Arika asked softly.
"Why did you say that no one loves you? What about me, huh?" Maahi said angrily, turning her back toward Arika.
"I'm sorry, Maahi," Arika said, hugging her from behind and resting her chin on her shoulder.
"Nope. I'm not going to forgive you easily," Maahi said, crossing her arms.
"And if you want my forgiveness, you'll have to do something."
"Okay. Tell me what you want me to do," Arika said.
Maahi turned toward her sheepishly and said-or rather, ordered-
"Today, you'll make momos and cheesecake for me."
"What? No! You're taking advantage of me. I'll make momos only-no cheesecake," Arika said, knowing the doctor had strictly prohibited Maahi from eating sweets due to her health.
"Okay then, I'm not going to talk to you," Maahi said, puffing her cheeks.
"Okay baba, I'll make it-but you'll get only one piece. The rest I'll eat," Arika said firmly.
"No! You'll get one piece, and I'll eat the whole thing," Maahi said, glaring at her.
"No. If you don't agree, I won't make either momos or cheesecake. If you want them, agree to this," Arika replied, matching her glare. She didn't want to risk Maahi's health.
"Okay, meri maa. Let's go to the kitchen," Maahi said, dragging Arika with her.
Arika shook her head, smiling at her best friend's excitement for food.
After making cheesecake and momos, they settled at the dining table and dug into their food.
"Mmmmm... yummm... wow, Aruu! This tastes amazing. I love it," Maahi said happily.
Arika smiled, seeing her happy.
"You know what, Aruu? If I were a boy, I swear I'd propose to you directly for marriage," Maahi said dramatically.
"Aur tujhe kahin door le jaakar bas tujhse kehti-Aaj se tu meri hi hai."
Arika burst out laughing freely.
Seeing her sister laugh wholeheartedly, Maahi felt relieved. A smile automatically appeared on her face.
"You're such a pagal," Arika said, laughing.
As Maahi was about to reply, Arika's phone suddenly started ringing.
She froze the moment she saw the caller ID...
Her grip tightened around the phone as if it would slip any second.
"Arika... who is it?" Maahi asked, sensing something wrong.
But Arika didn't answer.
Because the name flashing on her screen......was the one she feared the most.
